The Merger, opened on May 28 in a vacant downtown Greensboro street front space. The Merger brought together 12 artists from various backgrounds to create individual works on the day of the public opening. The artists worked amongst each other for three hours while listening to a musical soundtrack. The work was then hung and the doors were opened to the public while playing the soundtrack the artists worked to only hours before. Once again, the show was very well attended with area artists, curators, and members of the public expressing interest and excitement in participating, attending, and hosting future Spare Room shows.
